Delivery Policy
The Bed Centre offers delivery on online orders, subject to the terms below.
- Free delivery applies to online orders over R3,000, provided the delivery address is within a 100 km radius of your nearest Bed Centre store.
- For online orders under R3,000, a delivery fee of R490 will apply for delivery addresses located within 0–100 km of your nearest Bed Centre store.
- For accessories-only online orders under R3,000, a reduced delivery fee of R290 will apply within 0–100 km of your nearest store.
- The R290 accessories delivery fee applies only where the order contains accessories only. If the order includes a bed or mattress, the standard R490 delivery fee will apply within 0–100 km of your nearest Bed Centre store.
- Orders delivered to an address within 100–150 km from your nearest Bed Centre store will be charged R990 per delivery.
Customers are requested to make arrangements with our staff for a convenient delivery time and to ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to receive the order.
Should you wish for us to remove your old bed or mattress, this must be arranged in advance with our sales staff. This requires no extra charge.
Please note that selected beds and mattresses are only available in certain regions, including the Truform range, which is available in the Western Cape only.
Customers may also choose to pick up their order from one of our stores.
Fast Delivery
The Bed Centre’s Fast Delivery service is designed to help you enjoy a better night’s sleep, sooner. By selecting eligible products marked with the Fast Delivery badge, you may qualify for next-business-day delivery at no additional cost, subject to the following terms and conditions:
Order Cut-Off Time
To qualify for Fast Delivery, your order must be placed and fully paid for before 14:00 (2 PM) on a business day (Monday to Friday). Orders placed after 14:00 will fall into the next business day’s processing cycle.
Delivery Timeframe
Eligible Fast Delivery orders will be delivered by 17:00 (5 PM) on the following business day, where possible.
Product Eligibility
Fast Delivery applies only to selected products clearly marked with the Fast Delivery badge. If your order includes non-eligible items, this may affect the overall delivery timeframe.
Geographic Limitations
Fast Delivery is currently available only in major metropolitan areas where our logistics network supports short turnaround times. This service excludes outlying, rural, and long-distance destinations.
Service Limitations and Delays
While we aim to fulfil all Fast Delivery orders within the stated timeframe, this service is offered as a complimentary value-added service. It remains subject to stock availability, operational capacity, traffic conditions, weather, and other unforeseen disruptions.
Where delays occur, The Bed Centre will make reasonable efforts to notify customers and arrange delivery as soon as possible.
No Guarantees or Compensation
As Fast Delivery is provided at no additional cost, it is not guaranteed. No refunds, discounts, or compensation will be offered if delivery is delayed or if we are unable to meet the estimated Fast Delivery timeframe.
General
The Bed Centre reserves the right to amend, suspend, or discontinue the Fast Delivery service at any time, without prior notice. Standard delivery terms will apply to all orders unless expressly stated otherwise.
Deliveries to Outlying Areas
The Bed Centre delivers to major centres including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
Deliveries to areas outside these main centres or outside standard delivery zones will be subject to an additional delivery charge, which will be quoted separately and added to the total order value.
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address at checkout. If an incomplete or incorrect address results in an incorrect or zero delivery charge being applied, The Bed Centre reserves the right to correct the delivery charge once the order has been reviewed.
Estimated Delivery Lead Times
Manufacturing lead times may vary throughout the year depending on product availability and supplier schedules.
Estimated lead times generally range between 1 and 3 weeks. Certain stores may carry stock of fast-moving items, which may allow for earlier delivery or collection.
Customers are encouraged to confirm lead times with one of our sales consultants before or after placing an order.
Deliveries to High-Risk Areas
The Bed Centre is unable to deliver directly to certain high-risk areas.
Where delivery to such an area is requested, arrangements may be made via independent contractors, subject to an additional charge. This is to help ensure that your order is delivered as safely and securely as possible.
